Raye Hino turns into Sailor Mars. Raye thought in the beginning that she should be the leader of the Sailor Scouts instead of Serena,Sailor Moon, but after Serena transforms into the Moon Princess Raye withdrew the objection and was fully behind Serena. Her element of influence is Fire.
Raye has a massive manga collection and is and accomplished singer/songwriter, and a great skier. She is a priestess at a shinto temple on Cherry Hill and lives there with her lecherous Grandfather, Granpa Hino. Later on a guy comes there named Chad. Raye cares a lot for Chad through she will not tell him that. She also has a VERY BAD TEMPER. Her goal in life is to become a head priestess, singer, model, and seiyuu(Voice actor/actress).
Here are Sailor Mars' attacks: Her first attack is MARS FIRE IGNITE. Sailor Mars brings her hands together before her and interlocks her fingers, except her indes fingers, which she points into the sky. A flame appears at her fingertips before she takes aim and unleashes a spiraling fireball at her fireball at her target. This attack was also called MARS FIRESTORM FLASH.
Sailor Mars's second attack is MARS FIREBIRD STRIKE. This attack requires the use of an Ofuda(an anti-evil scroll to banish evil spirits). Sailor Mars takes out an ofuda and holds it to her face between her middle and index fingers, willing it to become rigid. After she throws the ofuda at her target, Sailor Mars undergoes the attack sequence used in MARS FIRE IGNITE, but changes the words to MARS FIREBIRD STRIKE. The fireball engulfs the scroll and takes the form of a phoenix before annihilating the target.
Her last attack is MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND. Sailor Mars traces a full-body circle with her hand, leaving a trail of fire to mark her path. Size spheres appear within the circles, each containing a single kanji(a Japanese language ideogram). The spheres gather towards Sailor Mars as she brings her hands close to her body, before they shoot out towards her targes as golden rings of fire.
